Louis XVI Style Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock
A Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Marble Mantel Clock, Early 20th Century. The circular enamel dial having Arabic numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, the backplate with Japy Freres pastille.
Dimensions: Height 20 1/4in; width 10in; depth 4 3/4in.
Condition:
Roughness to edges of enameled dial. Wear, toning and rubbing to gilt bronze mounts. The gilt bronze mounts with varying quality of casting throughout. The marble with scattered small fleabites and chips to the edges. Dust in crevices. The clock's movement maintains power for a period of time before stopping. Currently striking/chiming correctly. We cannot guarantee the functionality and completeness of the clock's movement.
