French Gilt Bronze Mounted Marble Portico Clock
A French Gilt Bronze Mounted and White Marble Portico Clock, Second Half 19th Century. The circular brass dial having Roman numerals, the twin train movement with nine-bar gridiron pendulum striking on a bell, the backplate with 'AD Mougin' pastille, stamped 'MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered '9972'.
Dimensions: Height 23in; width 11 1/4in; depth 5 3/4in.
Condition:
In overall good condition. Typical wear, toning and rubbing to bronze mounts. There is a vertical crack to the marble base on the backside of clock. Dust and dirt accumulation in crevices. Heavy wear and rubbing to painted numerals on the clock's dial. At the time the condition report was conducted, the clock was currently maintaining power. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
