Oversized serpentine tankard
Zöblitz, 18th c., hallmarked Daniel Böhme Freiberg, master from 1710, pewter, cast and dark green garnet serpentine, cylindrical body with swinging stand, faceted in the upper third with opposing triangles, original pewter mount consisting of pewter stand ring, two strap bands, lip rim and overlapping lid with large sphere, curved ribbon handle, thumb rest with cone-shaped pusher as well as a simple, slightly dome-shaped lid, on its inner side three stamped hallmarks, traces of age, the stand with tiny chips, the body with a continuous, barely visible hairline crack, the stand minimally deformed, h 26 cm.
