probably Kulmbach, 18th cent, in the lid three uninterpreted hallmarks, pair of towers with city gate and flags, on the lid inset Maria Theresa thaler D:G:REG:HUNG:BOH:, sawn out and engraved figures, two squirrels sitting on branches, above and below webbing, large ball presser, curved strap handle, staves drying cracked, pewter with minor tears, old repaired, with traces of use, h approx. 22 cm.
