Early 20th century, stamped artist's signature on verso, bronze brown patinated, depicting the King of Prussia and Elector of Brandenburg, popularly known as the "Old Fritz", in uniform with tricorn hat and frock coat, leaning on a walking stick, on black onyx base, stick slightly bent inwards, otherwise well preserved, h bronze 14,5, h overall 18 cm. Artist info: Sculptor in Berlin (1862-1935), was often represented at Berlin exhibitions with portrait busts and genre figures (several academy exhibitions, international exhibition in 1891 and large art exhibition in 1893), took part without success in the competition for the Lessing monument in Berlin in 1886.
