Bust of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
19th century, after the design by Leonhard Posch, who probably worked on the basis of a portrait of the poet by Christian Daniel Rauch (see Erwin Hintze 1820, Eva Schmidt 1827), black patinated iron casting, depiction of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on a round, indented base, the original was produced by the Prussian Iron Foundry and belongs to the holdings of the Rhenish Iron Art Casting Museum (cf. inv.-no. 4.320), replicas were made by Toni Schmidt at the Concordia Ironworks Mülhofen after a model by Sayner Ironworks.No. 4.320), replicas were made by Toni Schmidt at the Concordia Ironworks Mülhofen after a model of the Sayner Ironworks, good condition, h 14.5 cm.
