Edmond Lefever, Tambourine Player "Piccola"
dated 1875, signed, recto on coloured ground inscribed "Piccola", terracotta, girl in rural costume playing music, mounted on a black lacquered wooden base, in good condition for age, h 54 cm. Artist's info: Belgian sculptor (1839 Ypres to 1911 Schaarbeek), studied at the Brussels Academy, travelled Rome, exhibited regularly also internationally and received partly state commissions.
