circa 1900, signed, embossed signature mark Alphonse Hanne L'Isle-Adam, and model number 136, titled on brass plaque "Il dort si bien par J. Le Guluche", terracotta painted in a matt earth colour, a young mother sitting on a wooden barrel above a rounded rectangular base, holding the bowl with the remaining porridge in her hand and the sleeping infant on her lap, the hem of the blouse slightly bumped at the back, otherwise in good condition for its age, h 71 cm. Artist's info: Joseph le Guluche (1849 Plourvino to 1915 Vellejuif), French sculptor, active for the manufactories Villenauxe-la-Grande (Aube), L'Isle-Adam (Val-d'Oise) as well as Mauger and Letut.
