Lengthy Halachic Responsum, Handwritten and Signed by the Posek Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch Shalita, Addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Weinberg, Author of the Sridei Esh
"ובטוח אני שכתר"ה יכבדני בביאתו אצלינו" Lengthy Halachic Responsum, on the matter of whether someone with an amputated arm can do Chalitza, handwritten and signed by the Posek Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch Shalita, Gaon Av Beit Din of HaEidah HaChareidit.
Rabbeinu begins his letter by telling Rabbi Weinberg he had heard that Rabbi Weinberg was planning to come to Israel and inviting him to stay in his apartment, which is spacious and in a good location: "ובטח יתאכסן אצלנו שיש לנו ב"ה דירה מרווחת עם ארבעה חדרים... הדירה שלנו היא קרוב למרכז אבל לא במרכז וכמדומני שזה נוח מאד לכת"ר".
Later in the letter, Rabbeinu discusses the subject of whether someone with an amputated arm can do Chalitza, questioning Rabbi Weinberg's Psak on the subject: "ואני מחכה בכליון עינים לתשובת כתר"ה שבטח מברר ומלבן היטב כל הענין ונא לשלוח לי בהקדם"
A t the end of the letter, Rabbi Sternbuch describes the Talmud Torah for Sephardic children he had established and funds: זכיתי ב"ה לפתוח בסביבתנו ישיבה קטנה שלומדים שם ילדים ספרדים כל היום... הילדים לומדים בבית המדרש ואני משלם על המלמדים.... לו היה לי עוד הוצאות היה ביכולתי להציל עוד ילדים".
Despite the age difference between them, the letter indicates the friendship between the two Geonim and the Torah greatness of the Rosh Av Beit Din already in his early years.
