Sefer Rabbeinu Bachya on Bereshit, the press of Rabbi Uri Wolf Salat  - Lemberg 1864. [2], 145 leaves. Small format 18 cm. New impressive leather binding. Stains. Moth perforations and some varied blemishes. Good overall condition. 


Appearing on the flyleaf are two handwritten signatures of rabbi natan Note Oshpitziner "נתן נטע סגל לנדא" and his stamps. In addition, his sons' signatures also appear: "אברהם יהושע העשיל בהרב הגאון כש"ת מו"ה נתן נטע סג"ל לנדא", "הק' דובעריש סג"ל לנדא" An additional signature: "יצחק רובין מקורימה", a response to him appears in Shut Kenaf Renana by Rabbeinu.


Rabbi Natan Note Segal Landau (known as rabbi Noteleh Oshpitziner; 1841-1907) the son of Rabbi Moshe David of Sanz, a descendant of the Maharal of Prague. The Rav of Oshpitzin and a leading disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, who used to call him "מיין נטעל'ה". Rabbi Noteleh was one of the few who received their Semicha from the Divrei Chaim, who sent him to serve as Av Beit Din of Bardejov when he was only twenty.
