Picture of the Tzaddik rabbi Yeshayaleh of Kerestir - Oil on Canvas, Signed and original. from the Year of His passing - Hungary, the 20th Century

Large artistic painting, oil on canvas, signed and original, depicting the holy face of the Tzaddik Admor Rabbi Yeshaya ben Rabbi Moshe of Kerestir. On the lower part, a copy of his handwritten, modest signature: "הק' ישעי' בן מו"ה משה ז"ל שהיה משמש בקודש אצל הרב הצדיק מליסקא זי"ע" . A precise and most impressive painting. 

Signed: Gábor Szabados 925, an artist who lived in Rabbeinu's period. The painting is dated 1925, the year of Rabbeinu's passing. This famed picture, which was painted in Rabbeinu's old age, became a renowned Segulah for protection and livelihood and hangs on the walls of Jewish homes and businesses throughout the world.

The Admor Rabbi Shaya’le of Kerestir (1852-1925) A leader of his generation and an important Chassidic Admor of the 19th and 20th centuries, Rabbi Yeshaya Steiner was the disciple and successor of the Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska - a disciple of Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum (the Yismach Moshe). He was known for his merciful heart and his care for the Parnasa of the Jewish people, and he would say, “While other sages deal with ‘Razin DeRazin’ (Kabbalah and Chassidut), I am dealing with ‘sustenance and not emaciation (razon)’.” Rabbi Shaya’le is considered a wonder-worker. Thousands continue to visit his grave to pray to him for salvation, and many wonderful stories have spread about the power of such prayer.

"הרואה פני צדיק, משיב לנפשו שפע טוב וברכה, כי עליו חל ושורה אור שכינה" (He who sees the face of a Tzaddik, brings good abundance and blessing unto his soul, for the light of the Shechinah immerses him) (Ye’arot Dvash, Section I, Drush 12).
