В книге рассказывается о жизни заслуженного аристократа Германии Карла Фридриха Иеронима барона фон Мюнхаузена-ауф-Боденвердера (1720-1797), полной чудесных путешествий, леденящих кровь приключений и остроумных проделок.
Михаил Александрович Скобелев — художник-карикатурист, иллюстратор детских книг. Работал недолгое время на киностудии «Союзмультфильм» как художник-постановщик (в середине 1950-х годов). Учился у Ф. Богородского и Г. Шегаля. Народный художник Российской Федерации. До 1970 года плотно сотрудничал с художником А.М. Елисеевым.
Анатолий Михайлович Елисеев (род. 1930) — народный художник России, график, мастер книжной иллюстрации. Сотрудничал с популярными детскими журналами «Мурзилкой» и «Веселыми картинками».
