Условно хорошее состояние. Верхний лист обложки отделен от блока; имеются надрывы, мелкие утраты на краях. Отсутствует нижний лист обложки. Блок начинает распадаться на отдельные тетрадки. Замятия уголков страниц.
М. Ильин (наст. имя — Илья Яковлевич Маршак; 1896-1953) — русский советский писатель, инженер-химик. Младший брат С.Я. Маршака. С 1924 года в журнале «Воробей» (позднее «Новый Робинзон») вёл «Химическую страничку» и «Лабораторию «Нового Робинзона». Печатался в журнале «Чиж». Написал книгу о первой пятилетке «Рассказ о великом плане» (1930) и её продолжение — «Горы и люди» (1932), в которой рассказывает о работах академиков Н.И. Вавилова и Т.Д. Лысенко, о значении руководителей СССР И.В. Сталина и В.И. Ленина. В развитие этой темы написал книги «Сегодня и вчера», «Покорение природы». Также писал об истории культуры и истории науки. Многие книги писателя оформил художник Н.Ф. Лапшин. Во время Великой Отечественной войны написал ряд статей для Совинформбюро. С конца 1948 по 1950 годы работал в редколлегии «Огонька».
