Условно хорошее состояние. Книга убрана в твердый любительский переплет. Утраты внешнего покрытия переплета; углы немного побиты. Загрязнения на корешке. Фоксинги в блоке. Пометы цветными карандашами на страницах. Отсутствуют форзацы. Загибы уголков последних страниц.
8 ноября 1882 года Московским окружным судом с участием присяжных заседателей был осужден бывший казначей Воспитательного дома коллежский асессор Ф.И. Мельницкий, 52 лет, признанный виновным в присвоении 307 тысяч рублей. Причем большая часть похищенного так и не была обнаружена. B связи с этим полиция продолжала наблюдать за Ф.И. Мельницким и его родственниками, а позже были произведены обыски на квартирах родственников осужденного. В результате к уголовной ответственности были привлечены его дети Борис и Варвара, невестка Вера Николаевна Мельницкая, а также Альберт Гиляриевич Дорвойдти Елена Эрнестовна Блезе.
