В целом хорошее состояние. Книга убрана в новый переплет, страницы подрезаны. Помета чернилами на титульном листе. Часть страниц проклеены полосками кальки. Утрачен и проклеен калькой верхний угол на странице 391-392.
«Дэн Ши-хуа» — повесть, написанная С.М. Третьяковым в 1929 г. Повесть выросла из бесед писателя с одним из его учеников по русской секции Пекинского университета, где Третьяков был профессором. Это 26 лет подлинной человеческой жизни, биография, рассказанная китайским студентом Дэн Ши-Хуа, типичная для китайской молодежи 1920-х годов.
Сергей Михайлович Третьяков (1892-1937) — русский публицист, драматург, поэт-футурист. Печататься начал в 1913 г. — он входил в московскую группу эгофутуристов «Мезонин поэзии», во Владивостоке был членом группы футуристов «Творчество», сотрудничал в газетах «Красное знамя», «Дальневосточное обозрение», «Дальневосточная трибуна», журналах «Творчество», «Окно», «Неделя» и др. Один из создателей и лидеров группы «ЛЕФ», он редактировал журнал «Новый ЛЕФ» после ухода из него В. Маяковского. В 1937 году в Москве Третьяков был арестован и расстрелян.
