Условно хорошее состояние. Потертости переплета; края и углы сильно сбиты; имеются мелкие утраты внешнего покрытия. Владельческие надписи чернилами на нижней крышке переплета. Крупная трещина в блоке. Пометы чернилами и карандашом на титульном листе. На нескольких страницах встречаются загрязнения, мелкие надрывы.
Первая книга Евгения Григорьевича Монина (1931-2002) — советского российского художника, графика, иллюстратора детских книг, члена-корреспондента РАХ. Народный художник России. Был другом В.Н. Лосина. Сотрудничал сразу с несколькими московскими издательствами: «Малыш», «Детская литература», «Советская Россия».
