Мексин Я.П. Птички невелички. Народные песенки. Картинки П. Пастухова. [М.]: Гос. изд-во, [1927]. – [8] с., красочн. илл. Мягкая издательская иллюстрированная обложка. Формат 215х175 мм.
В целом хорошее состояние. Списанный библиотечный экземпляр. Библиотечные штампы и пометы на обложке и отдельных страницах. Обложка надорвана у корешка. След от кармашка на форзаце. Ржавые скобы. Пятно от влаги на верхнем уголке страниц.
Яков Петрович Мексин (1886-1943) — советский детский писатель, издатель, музейный работник, книговед, книготорговец. Соавтор (с Петром Дульским) монографии «Иллюстрация в детской книге» (1925) — первой работы о художественной детской книге на русском языке. В раннее советское время был одним из основных организаторов детского книгоиздания и выставок детских книг. В 1934 году основал первый в СССР и России Музей детской книги, ликвидированный в 1938 году после репрессий в отношении Мексина. Погиб в заключении.
