Книга убрана в переплет, тыльная сторона издательской обложки не сохранилась. В блоке встречаются мелкие заломы и следы листания.
Издание включает очерк о творчестве и перечень произведений Б.М. Кустодиева, исполненных для печати, список посмертной литературы о художнике. Содержит 55 воспроизведений работ Кустодиева, из них 16 цветных на 8 отдельных листах.
