After 34 successful auctions with countless world record prices for cameras, I handed the camera auctions over to a group, also to concentrate on the WestLicht Photo and Camera Museum, the OstLicht Photo Gallery and the OstLicht Photo Auctions. However, when I was recently offered a private lover's fantastic collection, I couldn't resist the temptation. Especially since this man acquired most of the pieces he collected from me over the course of many years and always attached great importance to perfect condition and originality. The original Leica MP was designed for professional photographers for use with the Leicavit MP rapid wind. Only 300 cameras were delivered in chrome finish in 1957, a camera in absolute original, never updated condition is very hard to find (without self timer and with early strap lugs). The offered camera MP-244 is in 100% original and perfect working condition. The L-seal is still intact, matching number on chassis inside the camera. It comes also with the correct back door for 1000 ASA and the matching Leicavit MP, with Elmar 2.8/50mm no.1727692.

Die Leica MP wurde für Profifotografen zur Verwendung mit dem Leicavit MP Schnellaufzug entwickelt. Nur 300 Kameras wurden 1957 in verchromter Ausführung ausgeliefert, eine Kamera in absolut originalem, nie umgebautem Zustand ist sehr schwer zu finden (ohne Selbstauslöser und mit den frühen Riemenösen). Die hier angebotene Kamera MP-244 ist in 100% originalem und perfekt funktionierendem Zustand. Das L-Siegel ist noch intakt, die Nummer auf dem Gehäuse im Inneren der Kamera stimmt überein. Sie kommt mit der passenden Rückwand für 1000 ASA und dem Leicavit MP, mit Elmar 2.8/50mm Nr.1727692.
