After 34 successful auctions with countless world record prices for cameras, I handed the camera auctions over to a group, also to concentrate on the WestLicht Photo and Camera Museum, the OstLicht Photo Gallery and the OstLicht Photo Auctions. However, when I was recently offered a private lover's fantastic collection, I couldn't resist the temptation. Especially since this man acquired most of the pieces he collected from me over the course of many years and always attached great importance to perfect condition and originality. Leica MP 6 Chrome Prototype Set

The offered camera is one of only 10 chrome prototype MP 6 cameras produced, no.2752505, in like new condition with prototype chrome Leicavit M no.00033, the original base plate for the camera and a rare rigid chrome Summicron-M 2/50mm 11615 (50th Anniversary Summicron edition) no.3952310 (mint with cap). The MP 6 in black paint was made one year later for the Japanese market only. It was basically the same as a regular MP, but it comes with the classic vulcanite leather, a Leica Camera AG Germany engraving on the top plate. Only 250 camera were produced in black paint.

Die hier angebotene Kamera ist eine von nur 10 produzierten verchromten Prototypen der MP 6, Seriennummer 2752505, in neuwertigem Zustand mit verchromtem Prototyp Leicavit M Nr. 00033, der originalen Bodenplatte für die Kamera und einem seltenen verchromten Summicron-M 2/50mm 11615 (50th Anniversary Summicron Edition) Nr. 3952310 (neuwertig mit Deckel). Die MP 6 in schwarz lackierter Ausführung wurde ein Jahr später nur für den japanischen Markt hergestellt. Sie entsprach im Grunde der normalen MP, war aber mit dem klassischen Vulkanitleder und einer Gravur der Leica Camera AG Deutschland auf der Deckplatte ausgestattet.
