Lavanda e gomil D. José, prata séc.XVIII, P.2148g
Lavender and cup D. José/D. Maria in Portuguese silver, late 19th century. XVIII. Gomil with a baluster-shaped body, with spiral grooves, decorated with bows, flowers and plant motifs, with the mouthpiece and foot decorated with a beaded frieze. Double "C" wing with foliage. Lavender maple scalloped and decorated with beaded frieze and frieze with fins, shells and flowers, relief and engraved. Gomil with Lisbon assay mark (L-34 or variant), in use from c.1770 to 1790, and maker's mark, possibly F/AI (L256.0); and lavender with Lisbon mark (L-34.0 or variant), in use from c.1770 to 1790, possibly LIC (L-466.0), attributable to Lourenço Joaquim de Carvalho, cited between 1770 and 1843.
