Paliteiro em prata portuguesa, séc. XIX, P.232g
Portuguese silver toothpick holder, 19th century. Female figure in perfect form, holding a ribbon with flowers, based on a raised base perforated with plant motifs. With Oporto assay mark (P-40.0d), in use c.1861, and JMG maker's mark (P-428.0), attributable to José Marques Guedes, dated from c.1861 to 1886, marked with an old man's head. Small defects, scratches and signs of use. Weight approx.: 232 g.; Height approx.: 19 cm.
