Pair of George III gravy boats in English silver, 18th century. Boat-shaped body with buds simulating waves and bulge with an engraved timbre, resting on a central foot of cut maple and decorated with godrãos, shells and plant motifs. Lost wing topped by winding, decorated with interwoven foliage and flowers. With London marks, 925 thousandths, in use in 1765, and unreadable makers mark. Along with two English silver gravy ladles, monogrammed engraved, with London marks, 925 thousandths, in use in 1849, and Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater makers mark. Small defects, scratches and signs of use. (4)
