'Hod Yosef' is a complete and unknown composition in the handwriting of Rabbi Hambin - Hagaon Rabbi Yosef Raphael ben Non of the sages of Jerusalem and Jaffa.

A complete and unknown composition in the handwriting of Rabbi Yosef Raphael ben Nun Abd of Jaffa, the manuscript in front of us was written between the years 1333 and 1337 and includes many sermons on various topics such as the Land of Israel, the Exodus, Torah, charity and dozens more, the vast majority of them The necessary ones were also said in different countries, such as Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, and more, apparently during the author's stay abroad as a doctor. At the beginning of the book, our Rabbi sketched a cover in his own hand with the name of his composition 'Hod Yosef' and added a number of passages from Lititz about the publication of the book with a long introduction.

Hagaon Rabbi Yosef Raphael ben Nun - The Rabbin: Rabbi and Dayan, a noted genius, diligent and a prolific writer, born in 1951 to his father Rabbi Ya'akov, whose Torah and greatness were united at his table, by choice he studied at the Sephardic yeshiva in Jerusalem and at the end of his studies he was ordained in the teaching crown, he was one of the rabbis of Jerusalem the well-known, but many traits merged in his character, on the one hand he did not show respect to anyone in the Halacha, and therefore - he was not officially counted among the rabbis of the Sephardic community in the city, and on the other hand, he was humble and humble as can be seen from the style of his signatures on his books such as Those who know religion and law, who trust in Hashem Hanun, and he is a man of Ber Yosef Raphael ben Nun. Or 'a young man who comes from Chir Zion and Jerusalem', Tarin Dargin Inon, who trusts in El Hanun, who speaks with language idiosyncrasies and delusions, Yashtanon, the young Yosef Raphael ben Nun.

From these words about the 'young man who is in trouble' we learn that he too, like many of the sages of Jerusalem, traveled on a mitzvah mission for the poor of the city. Things that receive explicit confirmation in this manuscript in which he writes at the beginning of one of his requirements that the latter is said "in the Tunis mission, including Jerusalem..."

Around the year 2017, he accepted the post of rabbi of the Sephardic community in Jaffa and worked there a lot to consolidate the community. His financial situation was bad and the Jaffa Franciscans formed a committee to work for his great work 'Yair Tehbein' dealing with the rules of the Shas and the rulings, which was indeed only partially published.

He also published Torah articles in the monthly 'HaMasaf' published by Rabbi Ben Zion Koenka, another book in his hand called 'Fruits of Rejoicing' is in the 'National Library'. In the year 1956, the Mbi'an died when he was old and seven days old.

In several places there are ownership stamps: "The young Shem Tov Gagin is the great-grandson of the Hagaon Ha'Hashal as Ksha'at Chaim Avraham Gagin"

The Gaon Rabbi Shem Tov Gagin (1855 - 1873) was a rabbi and judge and the author of many books, he served as a member of the Rabbinical Beit Hadim in Cairo and later as an abbot of the Sephardic Court in London.
