Rabbi Yisrael Hofstein - the Holy Magid of Kazenitz: (1737 - 1955) was one of the greatest and most famous fathers of Hassidism in its early years and was known for his great personality, his greatness, his righteousness and his holiness, he was a student of Rabbi Rabbi Shmelka of Nekleshburg who brought him to gather in the shadow of the great Magid of Mezrich. And of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizansk, may God bless him and grant him peace. Even before he came close to the Hasidic movement, he studied eight hundred (!) books of Kabbalah, and also for AHMC he dealt extensively with the writings of the ancient Kabbalists and the Maharal books.
In the book before us are included the words of our Rabbi's Torah that were omitted from his sacred book in the Hasidic Choirs, 'Evut Yisrael'.
The Chasidic Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Moshe Hartman: (556 - 777) a scholar and a kabbalist, was born in Safed to his Hasidic father Rabbi Yehezkel Hartman and studied at the Chabad Yeshiva in Hebron founded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe of Lubavitch.
