Charles van den Eycken Dogs at Butcher Painting
Charles van den Eycken the Younger "Duchene" (Belgian, 1859 - 1923). Oil on canvas depicting two dogs at a butcher shop, 1883. The hanging meats just out of reach entice the two dogs with one raising its nose to the scent while the other perches on the steps. Signed and dated along the lower left. With a hand-carved Spanish-style frame.
