Signature of Rav Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Av Beis Din of Șimleu Silvaniei, HY"D.
Sefer Ahavas Chaim on the Torah by Rav Chaim Yehudah Segal Deutsch, Dayan in Makova and a disciple of Rav Yechezkel of Sieniawa.
On page before title is the handwritten signature of the gaon of Simleu Silvaniei: "The small one, Shlomo Zalman Eh"r Av Beis Din."
Next to his signature is his son's signature, Rav Yehoshua Ehrenreich, Av Beis Din of Simlei Silvaniei.
Rav Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Simleu Silvaniei (5623-5704) was one of the great geonim of Hungary before World War II. He was raised with close contact to his grandfather- the "Kol Aryeh". He served as Av Beis Din of Simleu Silvaniei from 5659 until his perishing together with his community in Auschwitz- in 5704.
