Adolf Hitler Signed Postcard with Jewish Girl
Extremely desirable Adolf Hitler postcard by Hoffman with Hitler's ink signature in fountain pen. Known as "the Führer's child," Rosa Bernile Nienau became close to Hitler after they met on the Berghof in 1933. Young Rosa and her mother were in a crowd of people who gathered outside the mountain residence on the Obersalzberg to celebrate his birthday. After finding out that the girl shared his birthday of April 20, AH was immediately captivated with her. Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann later photographed the two and she then became a frequent visitor on the Berghof. The child had a Jewish grandmother, but that didn't stop her from being Hitler's favorite, even though he was made aware of her Jewish heritage early on. Only when Bormann discovered her being part Jewish he intervened and mother and daughter were no longer allowed access to the Berghof or to see the Führer. But Hitler and Rosa still maintained a close relationship as pen pals, until 1938, when Bormann permanently halted their correspondence. Rosa died on October 5, 1949 at the age of 17 in a hospital in Schwabing of spinal polio. Another signed photo of Hitler and Rosa Bernile Nienau sold for $16,000 in 2019.
