About 160 letters, tickets, documents and paper items, handwritten and printed, documenting the activity of the Motoclub of Palestine motorcycling club. Jerusalem, Rishon LeZion, Tel-Aviv, London and elsewhere, early-mid 1930s (some items are possibly earlier or later). Hebrew and English.
Including: · "Constitution and Rules of the First Motorcycle Competition in Palestine" (1932), a printed leaf (on the competition sponsor "Kolnoa" journal's letterhead). · Dozens of items documenting the motorcycle race, the Second Motor Gymkhana, which took place on Mount Scopus in 1935 – registration forms for racers, entrance tickets, color advertising notes, forms for writing down the scores (some filled-in) and more. · Two drafts of the Motoclub Constitution and Rules (English; mimeographed typescript). · Fourteen letters, circulars and forms on the Motoclub of Palestine official stationery, with the club's logo – a camel within a driving wheel. · Sixteen letters by Yevgeni Ratner (an Israeli military man and engineer who was awarded the Israel Defense Prize). Sent to the chairman of Motoclub, Shlomo Arazi, in order to plan motorcycle trips around the world. · Dozens of letters and circulars sent to Motoclub by the International Motorcycling Federation (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) – documentation of new world-records, invitations to races and conferences, publication of new regulations and more. · And more.
