GERMAN WW2 UKRAINIAN YBB VOLUNTEER'S SLEEVE SHIELD, 1941-1945
Woven linen base with the official, screen printed pattern consisting of a flat topped, rounded bottom, field-grey, shield shaped base with a horizontal bar to the top edge, with the white Cyrillic letters, "UVV", which appear as the Latin letters YBB positioned above the horizontally divided.
Ukrainian colors of yellow over blue with the stylized white trident of Volodymyr the Great to the center. The shield is still on its white cotton/rayon factory roll.
TEST: This particular item passed very important test - it does not glow under the black lamp. All fabrics after 1945 are glow under the black light - please look at the pictures. Please note: last image is for sample only.

WIKIPEDIA: The 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician) (German: 14. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (galizische Nr. 1)), prior to 1944 titled the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia" (German: 14. SS-Freiwilligen Division "Galizien") was a World War II German military formation made up predominantly of volunteers with a Ukrainian ethnic background from the area of Galicia, later also with some Slovaks and Czechs. Formed in 1943, it was largely destroyed in the battle of Brody, reformed, and saw action in Slovakia, Yugoslavia and Austria before being renamed the first division of the Ukrainian National Army and surrendering to the Western Allies by 10 May 1945.
