GERMAN WW2 JUNGSTURM HITLER BADGE, 1923
Very collectible item. It is earliest or one of earliest Hitler badges in existence. It too goes with the other item earned by the same WW1 soldier.
The Jungsturm Hitler badge is very rare and hollow back badges are found in Slovakia but this is example of earliest badge which is solid back. This badge was obtained in northern NY as German WW2 prisoner of war settled near the POW camps at Fort Drum, NY.
These types of badges are rare and have sold in Slovakia and other countries for equivalent of 3000 - 4000 US dollars. This may be rarest of the Hitler badges and was brought out at a time when Hitler was beginning his attempts at gaining power. Please note: last image is for sample only.
ESTIMATE PRICE: $3500 - $4000.

WIKIPEDIA: The Hitler Youth (often abbreviated as HJ in German) was the youth organisation of the Nazi Party in Germany. Its origins dated back to 1922 and it received the name Hitler-Jugend, Bund deutscher Arbeiterjugend ('Hitler Youth, League of German Worker Youth') in July 1926. From 1933 until 1945, it was the sole official youth organisation in Germany and was partially a paramilitary organisation; it was composed of the Hitler Youth proper for male youths aged 14 to 18, the German Youngsters in the Hitler Youth (Deutsches Jungvolk in der Hitler Jugend or 'DJ', also 'DJV') for younger boys aged 10 to 14, and the League of German Girls (Bund Deutsche Madel or 'BDM').
