Commentary on the Zohar HaKodesh by Rabbi Avraham Azoulay (grandfather of the Chid"a). Sefer Shemot. Jerusalem, 1879. First edition.


This work was written by Rabbi Avraham Azoulay, author of Chessed L'Avraham, as part of his book Kiryat Arba. The manuscript was in the possession of his grandson, the Chid"a, and was passed on to his heir, and printed here for the first time.

The book was printed with initiative of Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinova, son of the author of Divrei Chaim of Sanz. There are those who attribute his trip to the Land of Israel to his desire to publish this book.

His father, the author of Divrei Chaim of Sanz, wrote in his approbation: "With the the efforts of my son, the great rabbi and tzaddik, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam ...
