Fabric matzah cover. Palestine, early 20th century.
Fabric matzah cover with three sections. Printed on the four corners are pictures of Rachel's Tomb, Yad Avshalom, David's Citadel and worshipers at the Western Wall. The simanim of the seder are inscribed at center: Zeroa, Beitzah, Maror, Charoset, Karpas and Chazaret, and a printed inscription: "Next Year in the rebuilt Jerusalem." Under the inscription is a menorah shape. Gilt thread embroidery on the edges. Printed on the back of the cover: MADE IN PALESTINE.
