RABBI YAAKOV SHIMSHON HAGER OF KOSSOV – 1861 INHERITANCE DOCUMENT REGARDING HIS HOUSE IN TZEFAS, WITH SIGNATURES OF DAYANIM RABBI MORDECHAI SILBERMAN OF UMAN, RABBI BARUCH CAHANA AND RABBI YAAKOV MOSHE OF KOSSOV.
A Will drawn-up before the Dayanim of Tzefas by R. Dov Ber, son-in-law of R. Aharon Greitz of Zablotov,
‘... and whereas there have been questions raised regarding [the ownership of that house by the saintly and holy rabbi, famous in his generation, Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon shlita ...’. The documents is signed by Dayanim Rabbi Mordechai Silberman of Uman, Rabbi Baruch Cahana and Rabbi Yaakov Moshe of Kossov.
Rabbi Mordechai Silberman (1819-1872), Succeeded his father Rabbi Avraham Leib as Rabbi of Uman, settled in Eretz Yisrael in 1850 and joined the Beth Din of Rabbi Shmuel Heller in Tzefas, and the Beth Din in Teverya. Ancestor of the Silberman – Kaplan rabbinical family of Tzefas.
Rabbi Yaakov Moshe, Dayan in Kitev and Kossov, and Tzefas. Corresponded with Rabbi Shlomo Drimmer of Skala – author of Beis Shlomo.
