Ivan Mosca

Insect, 1945
Drawing, 24,5 x 34,5 cm
Insetto is an original artwork realized by Ivan Mosca in 1945.
Colored pencils on cardboard.
Hand-signed and titled by the artist on the lower right corner.

Very fresh and delicate artwork representing an insect in the foreground realized with colored pens.
Ivan Mosca (Parma, 1915 - Rome, 2005) was an Italian artist and painter. He moved to Milan where he attended the School of Book and the Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche in Monza. He was interested in abstract art and met the artists of the Gallery "Il Milione", such as Osvaldo Licini, Manlio Rho, Mario Radice and Atanasio Soldati. In 1936, he moved to Rome to attend the Academy of Fine Arts, where he elaborated his personal style. Very impostant was the meeting with Irene Brin and Gaspero del Corso, the two owners of the art gallery "L'Obelisco", whom contributed to spread his art in the United States.
Very good conditions.
