The poem is handwritten on the inside in green ink, it is composed of nineteen verses. On the front, printed in black ink: “Macchu Picchu / This is the first book by LAGÁRGOLA it contains the poem / by Pablo Neruda “Alturas de Macchu Picchu” and “Totems de Amor y Piedras”, etchings by Mario Toral. The text is written in Linotype Bodoni and was printed at Editorial Universitaria, S.A., the prints were printed at the Taller 99 press, Art School of the Catholic University. / The text was edited by Jorge Sanhueza. / Printing was completed on the twenty-eighth of February 1973 in Santiago de Chile. / This copy is numbered forty-nine.
