A bronze prutah of John Hyrcanus. Obv.: Paleo-Hebrew inscription in wreath: Yehohanan the High Priest and council of the Jews. The letters are crude, and the letter Hei in that type is designed differently from the other coins of Hyrcanus. Rev.: Double cornucopia with a pomegranate between horns.
