. Exceptional letter from the Admor Rabbi Shlomo Eger of Lublin – sent to the Rogatchov Gaon
Long handwritten and signed letter from the Admor Rabbi Shlomo Eger of Lublin. Adar (spring) 1935. An interesting halachic question on the laws of the time for prayer. Rabbi Eger seeks to introduce a new halacha that even though Chazal set the time for the morning prayers until a certain time during the day, if a person recited a certain prayer before that set time, he had thereby fulfilled the main principle of morning prayer during its set time and “could pray the Shemoneh Esrei prayer whenever he desired.”
