Oboznenko Dmitry Georgievich 1930 (Leningrad) -2002 (St. Petersburg)
Soviet painter, graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1987). Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists (1957), representative of the Leningrad School of Painting. In 1951 he entered the first year of the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. He studied with teachers of Vladimir Gorb, Valery Pimenov, Vitaly Valtsev, Rudolf Frents. In 1957 he graduated from the Institute in the workshop of Professor Joseph Serebryany. He painted portraits, genre and battle compositions, landscapes, sketches from nature. Engaged in satirical graphics. He worked in the technique of oil and tempera painting, drawing. The works are in the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, Great Britain, France, the USA, Italy and other countries.
