(1894-1985) Kriegsmarine officer, naval advisor to Erwin Rommel, and recipient of the Knight's Cross. War-date D.S. as Vice Admiral, 1p. 8vo., Berlin, Sept. 1, 1944, awarding Vice Admiral Heinrich Stiegel the Second Class War Merit Cross with Swords, signed at bottom in black ink. Docketed in pencil, else fine.
