GEORG-HANS REINHARDT...AND TEN FELLOW GENERALS
GEORG-HANS REINHARDT...AND TEN FELLOW GENERALS
GEORG-HANS REINHARDT (1887 - 1963) German general and war criminal during World War II. He commanded the 3rd Panzer Army from 1941 to 1944, and Army Group Centre in 1944 and 1945. Reinhardt was tried in the High Command Trial, and was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity for overseeing the murder of the inhabitants of entire Russian villages in rear areas. Remarkable signed piece, 1p. 4.25 x 8 in., [n.p., n.d.], a routing slip signed by Reinhardt in pencil at bottom. Above his signature the document bears the last names of ten generals and top-ranking officers, all of whom have signed the first initial of their last name to acknowledge seeing the attached document. Those initialing include VON LEEB, KUCHLER, HOTH, HOLLIDT, SCHNIEWIND, VON ROCQUES, REINECKE, WARLIMONT, and others. The verso bears printed text mentioning Gen. 'Clay' leading us to believe this piece emanates from the post-war trial of these generals. Very good.
