(1923 – 2004) Army major general and the son of World War II General George S. Patton Jr. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. A great pair of items, includes: S.P., 8 x 10 in. b/w, signed adding rank and date, 1975, WITH: a great content T.L.S. on his general's letterhead, 1p. 8vo., Aug. 15, 1975 sending the photo and adding: '…I cannot sign the [Ladislas] Farago book as it is full of errors. Patton Papers, Volumes I and II by M. Blumenson is our choice…' Farago's biography 'Patton: Ordeal & Triumph' was a huge success and remains the most popular biography of the colorful general.
