GOTTFRIED HANSEN
(1881 - 1976) German admiral with distinctive record in World War I, from 1941 to June 30, 1943 he was head of the Air Force Staff in the High Command of the Navy. T.N.S. on the verso of a postcard photograph, Kiel, Jan. 1, 1960, in German. Hansen explains that most of his documents were burned when he moved to smaller quarters and notes that the photograph shows a parade honoring his first retirement from active service, in 1936. Very good.
