HANS VON TSCHAMMER UND OSTEN
(1887 - 1943) German sport official, SA leader and a member of the Reichstag for the Nazi Party. As 'Reich Sports Leader', he played a major role in organizing the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Early S.P., 4 x 5.75 in. b/w (overall), shows von Tschammer in a half-length pose in S.A. uniform, signed on the mount. Sold with a Sep. 16, 1937 letter from the Secretariat of the Reichssportfuhrer to the photographer sending the photo and thanks. Very good.
