'GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER' FORMAL AWARD CERTIFICATE
Unissued formal award certificate for the 'German Cross in Silver', 10 x 14 in., bearing a printed depiction of the award in silver at the top center with pre-printed text in red-brown ink. The dimensions and descriptions of this certificate match known examples, yet this example lacks the typical blind-embossed seal at bottom-left, and thus was likely recovered before the seal was added. Slightly creased right edge, some pinholes at top, else very good. Housed within a presentation folder, bearing a gilt national eagle at front. Formal award documents for the German Cross in Silver are quite rare, as only an approximate 2,500 such medals were issued.
