SS FILE OF UNTERSTURMFUHRER HANS WEISSENBOCK
Grouping of seven documents from the SS file of SS-Untersturmfuhrer Hans Weissenbock. Included is: his Apr. 16, 1941 promotion to SS-Obersturmfuhrer; Sep. 14, 1941 assignment as a 'person engaged for special tasks' and certifying that he has been briefed on secrecy regulations, bribery, and treasonous activities; a similar undated declaration centered on espionage and treason; a Sep. 9, 1941 draft declaration '...that I/my wife have ___ % admixture of Jewish blood...I must expect prosecution and punishment if this declaration should be found to be false...' and also mentioning the threat of a death penalty if used to avoid military service; a Sep. 10, 1942 letter from the headquarters of SS Obergrupenfuhrer Heissmeyer requesting that he 'provide the Christian names and dates of birth of your children...'; and another letter from Heissmeyer's headquarters, July 12, 1944: '...This office sends you enclosed the insignia of the German Cross in Gold...'
