GERMAN SOLDIER'S PHOTOGRAPHS FROM AUSCHWITZ
Intriguing group of eight photographs from a Heer soldier traveling through Auschwitz, all on the original photo album page bearing the captions 'Auschwitz', 'We go west', and 'Weichselbrucke', a bridge over the Vistula. The photos show soldiers wearing 'In Service of the Wehrmnacht' and NSDAP armbands boarding rail cars identical to those used to transport prisoners, a wrecked armored car, and five photos of the destroyed bridge over the Vistula at Auschwitz. Worthy of research.
