ITALIAN SS EM/NCO SLEEVE EAGLE INSIGNIA
Unissued Italian SS EM/NCO eagle sleeve insignia, white embroidered stitching on red cloth backed with gray green cloth. Fine condition. Recently new information has surface about this style of Italian SS eagle. The exact same eagle has been seen with a paper label attached on verso from the Italian firm 'VeDeMe', Milan. This firm 'VeDeMe, Industrie Riunite Venegoni , De Capitani e Menini' an acronym for the owners Venegoni -De Capitani - Menini, specializing in the production of banners, signs, and badges of high-quality during the war years, thus providing evidence that this style of SS eagle was produced during the war.
