LUFTWAFFE SIGNALS VISOR
Scarce Luftwaffe 'nachtrichten', or signals department visor cap. The Luftwaffe gray/blue tricot body is piped in rust-brown, indicating the signals service. Black ribbed side band, sunned a bit at the front and worn under the chin strap, bears a one-piece aluminum cockade and oak leaf combination, and an aluminum Luftwaffe eagle is pinned above. Black chin strap is taught, in fine condition. The vulcan fiber visor is mummified on the top, and bears the characteristic checkered design on the underside. There are a few moth nips to the body, none terribly offensive. Within, the maker's ink stamp 'Ostland' appears, with place, size '58', and 1939 date of production. The sweatband is original, but torn and loose in several places. Estimated accordingly.
