CZECH ANTI-NAZI BOOK: 'PLECHOVY CIRKUS'
Great Czech publication celebrating the fall of the Third Reich: 'Plechovy Cirkus' by VACLAC LACINA, published in Prague in 1945, 82pp. 8vo., with multiple full-page illustrations designed by Otakar Mrkvicka. The front cover depicts a grotesque caricature of a saluting Adolf Hitler, while the illustrations within show a stout Hitler beneath a shining 'swastika' sun, a large picture of Adolf Hitler with swastika-shaped pupils, among others. The front flyleaf is signed by the author in black ink, above the hand-inked date '24.XII.1946'. Generally worn from use, multiple pages disbound, some spots of staining.
